"Professional, what does that word mean? To me, a professional is someone who focuses on their craft a life time. Someone who sets high standards, keeps expectations at bay, and exhibit discipline and self control, while maintaining integrity.

This holds true with any profession. My mother once told me, when I was a young, out of control child, "If you choose to be bad, you need to be the best at what you do, a thief, liar, cheat, whatever, know your craft."

I thought she was out of her mind. But it made sense. She was merely telling me to be a professional at whatever I choose to do. That is what I have done. I am a professional roulette player. Professional does not mean you do it everyday. It means that when you do it, you are at your best. A switch comes on and you are at optimum level. In your heart, you will know if you are a professional roulette player or not.

My advice to anyone is to discover your passion. You will know when you have found it, because it will consume your life, 24 / 7. You can't turn it off."
